- Christos Rozakis (griechisch Χρήστος Ροζάκης; * 17. Mai 1941 in Athen) ist ein griechischer Jurist und ehemaliger Vizepräsident des Europäischen Gerichtshofs für Menschenrechte. Rozakis studierte Rechtswissenschaft in Athen und London, an der University of Illinois und dem Institut für internationale Studien in Genf. Von 1980 bis 1986 war er Professor für Völkerrecht an der Pantion-Universität Athen und sodann Professor für Internationales Recht an der Nationalen und Kapodistrias-Universität Athen. 1987 bis 1998 war er Mitglied der Europäischen Kommission für Menschenrechte. 1996 war er für kurze Zeit stellvertretender Minister für Auswärtige Angelegenheiten in der Regierung Simitis. Vom 1. November 1998 bis zum 17. Mai 2011 war er Richter am Europäischen Gerichtshof für Menschenrechte. Zeitweise war er einer von zwei Vizepräsidenten des Gerichtshofs. Seine wissenschaftlichen Veröffentlichungen haben ihren Schwerpunkt auf den Gebieten des Vertragsrechts, des Rechts des Meeres, der Menschenrechte und der griechischen Außenpolitik, insbesondere den griechisch-türkischen Beziehungen. - Christos Rozakis (Greek: Χρήστος Ροζάκης, born 1941 in Athens) is a Greek judge, and currently the President of the Administrative Tribunal of the Council of Europe. He was formerly the first vice-president of the European Court of Human Rights. In 1996, he also served briefly as a Deputy Foreign Minister of Greece. He studied Law in the University of Athens and continued his studies at University College London (LL.M 1970), the University of Illinois (LL.M 1971, J.S.D. 1973) and the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva. Rozakis was member of the European Commission of Human Rights since 1987, and has been member of ECtHR since 1998. His dissenting opinions include those in Grand Chamber cases Sahin v. Germany, Ždanoka v. Latvia, Kingsley v. the United Kingdom, McElhinney v. Ireland, Al-Adsani v. the United Kingdom. He also joined dissents in Grand Chamber cases Bykov v. Russia, Blecic v.
