- الورم الأرومي الغضروفي ورم عظمي نادر وحميد وعدواني موضعيًا ويؤثر عادة في مشاشات أو نواتئ العظام الطويلة. يُعتقد أنه ينشأ من نمو الخلايا الغضروفية غير الناضجة (الأرومات الغضروفية) في مراكز التعظم الثانوية، والتي تنشأ من الصفيحة المشاشية أو بعض بقاياها. إن الورم الأرومي الغضروفي نادر، إذ يمثل 1-2٪ فقط من جميع أورام العظام. يصيب غالبًا الأطفال والشباب، ويكون معظم المرضى في العقد الثاني من العمر أو تحت سن العشرين. يميل الورم الأرومي الغضروفي إلى إصابة الذكور؛ تبلغ نسبة المرضى الذكور إلى الإناث 2: 1. يمثل عظم الفخذ أشيع مواقع الإصابة، يليه عظما العضد والساق. تشمل المواقع الأقل إصابةً كلًا من الكاحل وعقِب القدم والعظام المسطحة. - Chondroblastoma is a rare, benign, locally aggressive bone tumor that typically affects the epiphyses or apophyses of long bones. It is thought to arise from an outgrowth of immature cartilage cells (chondroblasts) from secondary ossification centers, originating from the epiphyseal plate or some remnant of it. Chondroblastoma is very uncommon, accounting for only 1–2% of all bone tumors. It affects mostly children and young adults with most patients being less than 20 years of age. Chondroblastoma shows a predilection towards the male sex, with a ratio of male to female patients of 2:1. The most commonly affected site is the femur, followed by the humerus and tibia. Less commonly affected sites include the talus and calcaneus of the foot and flat bones. (en)
- Das Chondroblastom (auch Codman-Tumor genannt) ist eine gutartige Form des Knochentumors. Es entsteht meist an der Epiphyse der langer Röhrenknochen. Die häufigsten Lokalisationen sind das untere Ende des Oberschenkelknochens und das obere des Schienbeins. Der langsam wachsende Tumor verursacht gelegentlich Schmerzen und Ergüsse im angrenzenden Gelenk. Obwohl es sich um einen als „gutartig“ angesehenen Tumor handelt, können bei manchen Patienten Lungenmetastasen beobachtet werden. Feingeweblich zeigt dieser scharf umgrenzte Tumor chondroblastenartige Zellen und Riesenzellen. Die Therapie erfolgt in aller Regel operativ durch Ausräumung des Tumors und sofern notwendig Auffüllen des entstandenen Defektes mittels Spongiosaplastik. Rezidive oder maligne Entartung sind anschließend selten. (de)
