- El Chicago Latino Film Festival és un festival de cinema dels Estats Units, centrat en Amèrica Llatina i els . Celebrat anualment a Chicago des del 1985, està organitzat per l'International Latino Cultural Center (ILCC) i patrocinat per diverses corporacions nacionals, així com per la comunitat hispana i llatina local. El Festival compta amb el treball de prometedors cineastes llatinoamericans amb un èmfasi especial en les pel·lícules que mostren l'enorme diversitat de l'Amèrica Llatina i que desafien els estereotips habituals sobre hispans i llatins. Durant la majoria de les projeccions, el públic té l'oportunitat de participar en discussions amb cineastes locals i visitants. En un esforç per posar en relleu la importància del valor artístic i educatiu de totes les pel·lícules, el Chicago Latino Film Festival no és competitiu, a excepció de l'anhelat Premi del Públic, determinat pels cinèfils i el Gloria Achievement Award. Des del 1999, el Premi Gloria s'ha atorgat com a reconeixement especial a persones i institucions per les seves destacades contribucions a les arts llatines. - The Chicago Latino Film Festival is a U.S. film festival, focusing on Latin America and Latinos. Held annually in Chicago since 1985, it is organized by the (ILCC) and sponsored by a number of national corporations as well as by the local Hispanic and Latino community. The Festival features the work of promising Latin American filmmakers with a special emphasis on films that showcase the enormous diversity of Latin America, and that defy commonly held stereotypes about Hispanics and Latinos. During the majority of screenings, the audience have the opportunity to participate in discussions with local and visiting filmmakers. In an effort to highlight the importance of the artistic and educational value of all films, the Chicago Latino Film Festival is non-competitive with the exception of the coveted Audience Choice Award, as determined by the filmgoers and the Gloria Achievement Award. Since 1999, the Gloria Award has been given as a special recognition to individuals and institutions for their outstanding contributions to the Latino arts.
