- جامعة ولاية هومبولت (بالإنجليزية: Humboldt State University)، هي جامعة عامة في مَدِينَة أركاتا بولاية كاليفورنيا، وهي الحرم الشمالي لنِظَام جامعة ولاية كاليفورنيا (CSU) الَّذِي يُضمُّ 23 مدرسة، يقع حرم الجَامِعَة الرَئِيسيّ بجانب التل على حافة غابة من الخشب الأحمَر الساحلي، ويطل على مناظر تطل على أركاتا وجزء كَبِير من خليج هومبولت، وَالمُحِيط الهَادِئ، تَقعُ المدينة الجامعيَّة على الساحل الشمالي لولاية كاليفورنيا على بَعد 8 ميل (13 كـم) شَمَال يوريكا، و279 ميل (449 كـم) شَمَال سان فرانسيسكو، و654 ميلاً (1052.51 كم). تنقسم الجَامِعَة إلى ثلاث كليات «كلية الآداب والعلوم الإنسانيَّة والاجتماعية» و«كلية الموارد الطَّبيعية والعلوم»، و«كلية الدراسات المهنية». وتقدَّم 48 دَرَجَة بكالوريوس، و12 دَرَجَة ماجستير مختلفة. تمتلك الجَامِعَة العديد من المرافق خارج الحرم الجامعي ومنها مَركَز أبحاث الأحياء البحريَّة، ومرفق رِعايَة الحَيَاة البرية، ومتحف عام للتاريخ الطَّبيعِيّ، ومعرض فني عام، ومرفق لِلأَلعَاب المائيَّة بجانب الخَلِيج، ومرصد فلكي على قِمَّة الجبل، وسفينة للبحوث البحريَّة وتعليم المُحيطات (بحر المرجان)، وغابة توضيحية (غابة مجتمع أركاتا). - Die Humboldt State University (auch HSU genannt) ist eine bundesstaatliche Universität in Arcata im Norden des US-Bundesstaates Kalifornien. Sie wurde am 16. Juni 1913 durch Gouverneur Hiram Johnson als Ausbildungsstätte für Lehrer gegründet (Humboldt State Normal School). Namensgeber ist der deutsche Forschungsreisende Alexander von Humboldt, nach dem auch die nahe Humboldt Bay und darauf aufbauend das Humboldt County benannt ist. Die Hochschule ist Teil des California-State-University-Systems. Derzeit sind fast 8.000 Studenten eingeschrieben, die zwischen ca. 50 Hauptfächern wählen können. An der HSU ist das 1989 gegründete Schatz Energy Research Center (SERC) angegliedert, das sich auf die Erforschung erneuerbarer Energien konzentriert, und wie sich damit dezentrale, resiliente Versorgungsstrukturen incl. Microgrids aufbauen lassen. Die Universität betreibt den eigenen Verlag Humboldt State University Press, über den auch wissenschaftliche Publikationen externer Wissenschaftler veröffentlicht werden. - California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt also known as Cal Poly Humboldt, Humboldt or Cal Poly (formerly Humboldt State University, HSU, or Humboldt State, ) is a public university in Arcata, California. It is one of three polytechnic universities in the California State University system. It is the northernmost campus of the 23-school California State University (CSU) system. The main campus, situated hillside at the edge of a coast redwood forest, has commanding views overlooking Arcata, much of Humboldt Bay, and the Pacific Ocean. The college town setting on the California North Coast, 8 miles (13 km) north of Eureka, 279 miles (449 km) north of San Francisco, and 654 miles (1052.51 km) north of Los Angeles is notable for its natural beauty. It is the most westerly four-year university in the contiguous United States. Humboldt is an Hispanic-serving institution (HSI) The university is divided into three colleges: the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences; the College of Natural Resources and Sciences; and the College of Professional Studies. It offers 48 types of bachelor's degrees, 12 different master's degrees, 61 minors, and 13 credential programs. Cal Poly Humboldt does not offer doctoral degrees. In addition to the main campus, Cal Poly Humboldt has multiple off-campus facilities and education-related properties, including an ocean-side marine biology research center, a wildlife care facility, a public natural history museum, a public art gallery, a bay-side aquatics facility, a mountain-top astronomy observatory, an ocean-going marine research and teaching vessel (Coral Sea), and a demonstration forest (Arcata Community Forest).
