- Bunker Ramo Corporation, often shortened to Bunker Ramo, was an American electronics company based in Trumbull, Connecticut. It was founded by George M. Bunker and Simon Ramo in 1964, jointly owned by Martin-Marietta and Thompson Ramo Wooldridge (TRW). The holdings of Teleregister Corporation became part of the new company. It became a manufacturer of military electronics devices and digital computers including the transistorized BR-133 of 1964, given the military designation AN/UYK-3. It was a supplier of video display terminals to the financial industry. In 1967 the Amphenol corporation (a manufacturer of electrical connectors) merged with Bunker Ramo. The combined company peaked at number 338 on the Fortune 500 list in 1969. In February 1971, the firm unveiled the first version of the National Association of Securities Dealers' Automated Quotations system, NASDAQ. In 1981 it was purchased by Allied Corporation, later AlliedSignal. It is now part of the Honeywell group. (en)

L'opération prévoit alors l'absorption de Teleregister, société de diffusion d'information financière en direct, par Thompson Ramo Wooldridge, groupe d'électronique de défense résultant de l'alliance en 1958 de Ramo-Wooldridge Corporation avec , et spécialisé dans les programmes de fabrication de missile balistique. Thompson Ramo Wooldridge, dont le président Dean Wooldridge est parti à la retraite en 1962, devient alors l'actionnaire minoritaire de Bunker Ramo, détenu à 90 % par le futur géant de l'électronique de défense américain Martin Marietta. Bunker Ramo et son produit vedette Telequote, acquis en 1964 par l'intégration de la société Teleregister, sont à l'origine de la création en 1971 du premier marché boursier électronique du monde, le Nasdaq, opération qui fait l'objet d'une enquête anti-trust. Le Nasdaq a ensuite racheté en 1976 l'outil informatique, qui permettait la cotation électronique de 2500 sociétés, à Bunker Ramo, en levant une option d'achat.
