- Brett Bigham is an American educator. He has won multiple teaching awards for his work as a special education teacher. After publicly declaring that he was gay while accepting an award, Bigham began to have conflicts with his school district. These conflicts led to his firing which caused upheaval in Bigham's district and with Bigham eventually receiving a large financial settlement from the district.
