The end-to-end journey takes 38 minutes. It's operated by RD Brest, and it's part of the Bibus network. The system began service on 23 June 2012. It is expected to serve 50,000 passengers per day. The line is the successor to a tram network that operated in Brest from 1898 to 1944. The network has the distinction of being trilingual (French, English and Breton). (en)
- Le tramway de Brest est exploité par RD Brest. Il fait partie du réseau Bibus et se compose d'une seule ligne (ligne A) ; une seconde ligne (ligne B) devant être achevée début 2026. Le tramway a été mis en service en 2012, marquant le retour de ce mode de transport dans la "cité du Ponant" après 68 ans d'absence. La ligne A relie la porte de Plouzané à l'ouest aux portes de Gouesnou au nord et de Guipavas à l'est, ces deux derniers terminus se trouvant sur deux branches se finissant sur les territoires communaux éponymes. Le parcours demande un peu moins de quarante minutes et dessert vingt-huit stations espacées d'environ cinq cents mètres sur 14,3 kilomètres. La ligne a rencontré un rapide succès, avec près de neuf millions de voyages sur sa première année d'exploitation.
