- Die Bobby Smith Trophy ist eine Trophäe der Ontario Hockey League (OHL). Sie wird seit 1980 jährlich an den OHL-Spieler vergeben, der am besten gute spielerische Leistungen mit schulischem oder akademischem Erfolg paart. Sie ist nach Bobby Smith benannt, der von 1975 bis 1978 für die Ottawa 67’s in der aktiv war und sich durch diese Eigenschaften auszeichnete. Jeder Spieler, der von seinem Team für diese Auszeichnung nominiert wurde, wird automatisch in das OHL All-Scholastic-Team der jeweiligen Saison aufgenommen. Zudem nimmt der Trophäengewinner seit 1988 an der Wahl zum CHL Scholastic Player of the Year teil. Die Bobby Smith Trophy ist mit dem Ivan Tennant Memorial Award sowie dem Roger Neilson Memorial Award vergleichbar, wobei diese beiden den schulischen Erfolg unabhängig von der spielerischen Leistung auszeichnen. - The Bobby Smith Trophy is awarded annually to the Ontario Hockey League Scholastic Player of the Year, who best combines high standards of play and academic excellence. The trophy is named for Bobby Smith, a former Ottawa 67's player. It is symbolic of the high standard of excellence that Smith displayed on the ice, as well as in the classroom, during his outstanding junior career. Each team's nominee for the award becomes a member of the OHL Scholastic Team of the Year. The award is selected by a committee of OHL educational consultants, and by the director of NHLCentral Scouting. Each recipient is nominated for the CHL Scholastic Player of the Year award. (en)

Le trophée a été créé en mémoire de Bobby Smith, une ancienne gloire des 67's d'Ottawa, qui avait possédait d'excellents résultats en classe en plus d'avoir réalisé une carrière junior impressionnante. Chaque équipe nommée pour le trophée devient membre de l'équipe étudiante de l'année en OHL. (fr)

На конец сезона 2014/15 только один игрок получал приз трижды — это Дастин Браун (2000/01, 2001/02, 2002/03).
