- Die Liste der Bischöfe von Penrith stellt die bischöflichen Titelträger der Church of England, der Diözese von Carlisle, in der Province of York dar. Der Titel wurde nach der Stadt Penrith benannt. Der Titel wurde erstmals im Jahre 1534 erwähnt, nach dem Weihbischöflichen Act, dort als Pereth bezeichnet. Von dort an bis ins Jahr 1888 war der Titel unbesetzt und wurde im selben Jahr dann der Diözese Ripon zugeschlagen. Der eigentliche Titel war aber Richmond zugewandt, wo dieser dann von 1889 bis 1939 auch blieb. Im Jahr 1939 ging der Titel dann zur Diözese Carlisle über. (de)
- The Bishop of Penrith is an episcopal title which takes its name after the town of Penrith in Cumbria. The title was first mentioned (as Pereth) in the Suffragan Bishops Act 1534 (alongside a see for Penreth – now called Penrydd – in Pembrokeshire) and was first used for the Diocese of Ripon in 1888, but the incumbent had his episcopal title transferred to Richmond by Royal Warrant in 1889. Since 1939, the Bishop of Penrith is a suffragan bishop in the Church of England Diocese of Carlisle who assists the diocesan Bishop of Carlisle in overseeing the diocese. (en)
