- في فرنسا وفي دول أخرى مثل البرتغال وإسبانيا وبلجيكا وسويسرا، الصيدلاني الإحيائي (يسمى Pharmacien biologiste في فرنسا) هو صيدلاني متخصص في علم الأحياء السريرية المماثلة لـعلم الأمراض السريري.ويتمتع هؤلاء الصيادلة تقريبًا بنفس حقوق الأطباء في المجال الطبي المتخصصين في هذا المجال. ويطلق عليهم «علماء الأحياء السريريين». يتبع هذا الدكتور الصيدلاني نظام «الدراسات العليا» في مختبرات المستشفيات الطبية. في فرنسا، يسمى هذا التخصص «علم الأحياء الطبية الداخلية» وهو عبارة عن نيابة تستمر لأربع سنوات بعد السنوات الخمس الجامعية المشتركة بين جميع الصيادلة. - In France and in other countries like Portugal, Spain, Belgium or Switzerland, a Biological pharmacist (called Pharmacien biologiste in France) is a Pharmacist specialized in Clinical Biology a speciality similar to Clinical Pathology.They have almost the same rights as Medical Doctors specialized in this discipline. They both are called a "Clinical biologist"". These Pharm.D. follow a "post-graduate" formation in hospital's medical laboratories. In France, this specialization called "Internat de Biologie médicale" is a residency and lasts fours years after the five undergraduate years common to all pharmacists. (en)
- En Europe (France, Belgique, Portugal, Espagne, Pays-Bas…), en Afrique, et dans certains pays d'Asie, un pharmacien-biologiste est un pharmacien spécialisé en biologie médicale, donc un professionnel de santé, qui supervise et/ou réalise les analyses et en interprète les résultats :
* sur des prélèvements biologiques de différents types : sang, urines, selles, liquides de ponction, etc.
* à la recherche de différents éléments normaux ou pathologiques : hématologie, bactériologie, virologie, biochimie clinique, hygiène…
* dans différentes conditions : urgences (détermination du groupe sanguin d'un polytraumatisé par exemple), suivi de maladie chronique (comme le diabète)…
* auprès des médecins et des patients. On les appelle aussi biologistes, biologistes médicaux ou encore biologistes cliniciens avec les médecins spécialisés dans la même discipline. (fr)
