It was also revealed on 5 July 2020 during the live eviction show that the audition for Big Brother 6 was open and the show will be called "Big Brother: A Revolução" (lit. Big Brother: The Revolution). The show is featuring a new format and rules, housemates will have to be more interactive and competitive in the house if they want to win. On 29 July 2020, it was revealed that the sixth season would start on 13 September 2020 and finish on 31 December 2020. This time, there would be no BB Zoom and quarantine period like it happened in the fifth season, but all of the official housemates must be test negative of COVID-19. On 4 August 2020, TVI confirmed that the presenter of this season is Teresa Guilherme. Maria Zambrano, the former production director of Gran Hermano - the Spanish version of Big Brother, is the executive producer of this season. (en)
