- Before I Forget je studiové album Jona Lorda. Album vyšlo v červnu 1982, tedy v době, kdy Lord hrál se skupinou Whitesnake a na albu se podíleli i jiní členové této skupiny. (cs)
- Before I Forget is a 1982 album by Jon Lord, featuring a largely conventional eight-song line-up, no orchestra. The bulk of the songs are either mainstream rock tracks ("Hollywood Rock and Roll", "Chance on a Feeling") or, specifically on Side Two, a series of very English classical piano ballads sung by mother and daughter duo, Vicki Brown and Sam Brown (wife and daughter of entertainer Joe Brown) and vocalist Elmer Gantry. The album also features prolific session drummer (and National Youth Jazz Orchestra alumnus) Simon Phillips, Cozy Powell, Neil Murray, Simon Kirke, Boz Burrell and Mick Ralphs. Lord used synthesizers more than before, principally to retain an intimacy with the material and to create a jam atmosphere with old friends like Tony Ashton. (en)

La plupart des œuvres sont soit des morceaux de rock grand public (Hollywood Rock and Roll, Chance on a Feeling) ou, surtout sur la face B, une série de ballades anglaises au piano chantées par le duo mère-fille, Vicki Brown et Sam Brown (épouse et fille de l'artiste Joe Brown) et le chanteur Elmer Gantry. L'album inclut également le batteur de session prolifique (et ancien élève du National Youth Jazz Orchestra) Simon Phillips, Simon Kirke (Free, Bad Company), Boz Burrell (ex King Crimson), Mick Ralphs, et les compères ou anciens compères de Jon Lord dans Whitesnake et Deep Purple, Cozy Powell, Neil Murray, Bernie Marsden et Ian Paice. Sur cet album, Lord (qui est à cette époque membre de Whitesnake) joue plus de synthétiseurs qu'avant, principalement pour conserver une intimité avec le matériel et pour créer une atmosphère de jam avec de vieux amis comme Tony Ashton, son ancien complice dans Paice, Ashton, Lord.[réf. nécessaire]. Jon Lord y réinterprète également à sa manière des pièces classiques : un air traditionnel de Thomas Tallis (Tender Babes), Toccata et fugue en ré mineur de Jean-Sébastien Bach (Bach onto this), et en bonus sur le CD réédité en 1999, Pavane pour une infante défunte de Maurice Ravel (Pavane).
