- Bayt Dakira or the House of Memory is a Jewish museum located in the Jewish quarter "Mellah" of Essaouira's old medina in Morocco. The museum aims to be a spiritual space dedicated to the Jewish community of the city. It plays an important role in the preservation and valorisation of the Moroccan Jewish memory. Through its exhibition of rare objects, texts and photographs, the museum seeks also to show the coexistence between Muslims and Jews in the city. Visitors are greeted by the expression "Shalom Aleykoum, Salam Lekoulam" which is a mix of Arabic and Hebrew to illustrate the friendship between Jews and Muslims. The museum includes the Simon Attias Synagogue and the Haim and Célia Zafrani Research Center on the History of Relations between Judaism and Islam. (en)
- Bayt Dakira ou bien la Maison de la Mémoire est un musée juif situé au cœur de la médina de la ville d' Essaouira, au Maroc. Le musée se veut être un espace spirituel consacré à la mémoire de la communauté juive de la ville.Il joue un rôle important dans la préservation et la valorisation de cette mémoire judéo-marocaine. Le musée cherche aussi à travers son exposition d’objets, de textes et de photographies rares à montrer la coexistence entre les Musulmans et les Juifs de la ville. C'est ainsi que les visiteurs du musée sont accueillis par l'expression "Shalom Aleykoum, Salam Lekoulam", un mix d'arabe et d'hébreu afin d'illustrer la proximité complice entre juifs et musulmans.
