- The Barranco del Infierno (in English: "Hell's Gorge") is a ravine located in the town of Adeje in the south of the island of Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. A popular hiking trail leads through the ravine to the highest waterfall on Tenerife. Access to the gorge is controlled by a limitation on the number of daily visitors. Reservations can be done online. The area is very important archaeologically, since there are hundreds of caves that were home to many aboriginal Guanches, as well as caves with engravings. The largest collection of Guanche mummies and utensils were found here and placed in the Museum of Nature and Man of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The trail was closed for security reasons after a deadly accident in 2009, until 2015. Currently it is open all the way to the end, additional safety measures have been implemented.

- Im Südwesten von Teneriffa bei der Stadt Adeje befindet sich die Barranco del Infierno (Höllenschlucht), die zu den spektakulärsten Barrancos der Insel zählt und daher ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel ist. Archäologische Funde belegen, dass schon die Guanchen in dieser Gegend gelebt haben. Später nutzten dann die spanischen Siedler das Wasser der Schlucht, kanalisierten es und leiteten es zu den näher am Meer liegenden Ortschaften. Außerdem schufen sie terrassenförmige Gärten an den Steilhängen, um diese landwirtschaftlich nutzen zu können. Heute wird die einzigartige Landschaft der Schlucht speziell geschützt, sie ist nun Teil des Naturschutzgebietes . (de)

Esta reserva que cuenta con 1843,1 hectáreas se caracteriza por la presencia de barrancos profundos, separados por estrechas lomas y distintas formaciones geológicas de interés como los roques del Conde o de Ahiyo o de Ichasagua, el de Imoque y el de Abinque. Ten popularny szlak turystyczny prowadzi do najwyższego wodospadu na Teneryfie. Dla zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa i ochrony przyrody dostęp jest ograniczony, płatne bilety wstępu należy zarezerwować online z min. jednodniowym wyprzedzeniem. Obszar ma duże znaczenie archeologiczne, ponieważ znajdują się tam setki jaskiń, w których zamieszkiwali Guanczowie. Szlak został zamknięty w 2009 z powodu śmiertelnego wypadku. Ponownie otwarto go w 2015. Obecnie każdy odwiedzający otrzymuje na początku szlaku kask, który należy mieć nałożonym.
