- El triatló va ser una de les proves d'atletisme disputades durant els Jocs Olímpics de Saint Louis de 1904. Aquesta era la primera vegada que es disputava. El Comitè Olímpic Internacional integra aquesta prova dins el programa de l'atletisme, tot i que d'altres fonts el llisten entre les proves de gimnàstica. Hi participen més gimnastes que no pas atletes, tot i que les tres proves que es disputaven eren clàrament atlètiques: el salt de llargada, el llançament de pes, i la cursa de 100 iardes. Hi prenen part 118 atletes en representació de 3 nacions. Els resultats d'aquesta prova i els de la prova de triatló de gimnàstica eren utilitzats per determinar resultats de la competició gimnàstica. (ca)
- The men's triathlon was an unusual event conducted during the 1904 Summer Olympics. The International Olympic Committee lists it as part of the Athletics at the 1904 Summer Olympics programme, though other sources list it among the Gymnastics at the 1904 Summer Olympics events. Gymnasts rather than track and field athletes competed. However, the three events of the triathlon were decidedly athletic rather than gymnastic in nature, comprising the long jump, the shot put, and the 100 yard dash. 118 athletes from 3 nations competed. The results from this event, as well as the gymnastics triathlon event, were used to determine scores for the gymnastics all-around event. Since 2021 the International Olympic Committee lists the medals won in this event as being part of the sport of Gymnastics Artistic under name "Individual All-Around, Field Sports Men". (en)
- Der Dreikampf der Männer bei den Olympischen Sommerspielen 1904 in St. Louis wurde am 1. und 2. Juli 1904 im Francis Field entschieden. Der Wettbewerb war eine Nebenwertung des Einzelmehrkampfes im Turnen, der aus zwölf Disziplinen bestand. Die darunter befindlichen drei Leichtathletik-Disziplinen Weitsprung, Kugelstoßen und 100-Yards-Lauf (91,44 m) wurden zusätzlich zum Turn-Einzelmehrkampf als Dreikampf der Männer gewertet; die verbleibenden neun Turn-Disziplinen wurden zusätzlich als Turnerischer Dreikampf gewertet. Diese Wettbewerbsform stand nur in St. Louis auf dem olympischen Programm; da der Wettbewerb eine Nebenwertung des Einzelmehrkampfes im Turnen darstellt, wird er gelegentlich auch den Turndisziplinen bei den Olympischen Spielen 1904 zugeordnet. Die US-Amerikaner verzeichneten einen Dreifacherfolg. Olympiasieger wurde Max Emmerich. Silber gewann John Grieb, Bronze ging an William Merz. (de)

- Trójbój lekkoatletyczny podczas igrzysk olimpijskich w 1904 w Saint Louis rozegrano 1 i 2 lipca 1904 na stadionie Francis Field należącym do Washington University. Konkurencja ta jest zaliczana zarówno do lekkoatletycznych, jak i gimnastycznych. Zawody odbyły się w ramach International Turners' Championship, a więc rywalizacji gimnastycznej i startowali w niej specjaliści tej dyscypliny. Trójbój składał się jednak z konkurencji lekkoatletycznych: skoku w dal, pchnięcia kulą oraz biegu na 100 jardów. Wyniki trójboju lekkoatletycznego wraz z rezultatami trójboju gimnastycznego (ćwiczenia na drążku, poręczach i koniu) składały się na klasyfikację w indywidualnym wieloboju gimnastycznym. Startowało 118 zawodników z 4 państw. (pl)
