- Divadlo Aréna patří mezi nejstarší divadla v Bratislavě. Bylo založeno v roce 1828 na pravém břehu Dunaje. Zpočátku sloužilo jako letní amfiteátr, odtud název Aréna. V roce 1898 byla na jejím místě postavena divadelní budova, jejíž vzhled se od té doby téměř nezměnil. (cs)
- Arena Theatre (Slovak: Divadlo Aréna) is one of the oldest theatres in Bratislava. It was established in 1828 on the right bank of Danube. In the beginning it served as an open summer amphitheatre, hence the name Arena. The current building was built in 1898. From its establishment till the end of the Second World War, many Hungarian, Austrian and German theatre companies performed there. After the war, the theatre was gradually closed and served as a storehouse for state-owned Slovak Television. The theatre was revived by a group of people around mime artist , opening performance took place in 1997. The repertoire consisted of several pantomimic performances, an annual pantomimic festival took place there. In 2003, renowned Slovak actor Juraj Kukura became managing director and focus of the theatre shifted to drama. Performance The Goat or Who is Sylvia? was nominated for DOSKY Award 2004 in categories best performance and best director, Juraj Kukura and Emília Vášáryová won the categories for best actor/actress. A year later, monodrama Tiso was voted the best performance. Marián Labuda, who was performing Jozef Tiso, won the prize for best actor. (en)
- Das Arena-Theater (slowakisch Divadlo Aréna) ist eines der ältesten Theater in Bratislava. Es wurde 1828 gegründet und spielte zunächst auf einer Freilichtbühne in Form eines römischen Amphitheaters, daher der Name. Das heutige Theatergebäude wurde 1898 errichtet und steht zwischen dem Janko-Kráľ-Park und der Alten Brücke (Starý most) im Stadtbezirk Petržalka. Von der Zeit der Gründung bis zum Ende des Zweiten Weltkriegs traten hier zahlreiche ungarische, österreichische und deutsche Theaterensembles auf. Nach Kriegsende wurde das Theater geschlossen und diente als Lagerhaus des staatlichen Tschechoslowakischen Fernsehens. Eine Gruppe um den Pantomimen Milan Sládek belebte das Theater neu, die Wiedereröffnung erfolgte 1997. Seit 2003 ist Juraj Kukura Direktor des Arena-Theaters. (de)
- Theater Arena (Slowaaks: Divadlo Aréna) is een van de oudste theaters in Bratislava. Het werd in 1828 gevestigd aan de oever van de Donau, in het huidige stadsdeel Petržalka. In het begin was het een open amfitheater, vandaar de naam Arena. Het huidige theatergebouw is in 1998 gebouwd. Vanaf haar oprichting tot het einde van de Tweede Wereldoorlog gaven vele Hongaarse, Oostenrijkse en Duitse theaterbedrijven er optredens. Na de oorlog werd het theater gesloten en het gebouw als opslagplaats gebruikt voor de Slowaakse televisie. Het theater werd nieuw leven ingeblazen door een groep rondom pantomime-artiest . De heropening vond plaats in 1997. Het repertoire bestond uit diverse pantomime-optredens en jaarlijks vond er een pantomimefestival plaats. In 2003 werd de Slowaakse acteur manager en werd de focus van het theater verlegd naar drama. (nl)
- Teatr Arena (słow: Divadlo Aréna) – jeden z najstarszych teatrów w Bratysławie. Został założony w 1828 roku, na prawym brzegu Dunaju. Na początku służył jako otwarty amfiteatr letni, stąd nazwa Arena. Obecny budynek został wybudowany w 1898 roku. Od momentu powstania do końca II wojny światowej, wiele węgierskich, austriackich i niemieckich teatrów wystawiało tam swoje spektakle. Po wojnie teatr był stopniowo zamknięty i służył jako magazyn dla państwowej telewizji słowackiej. Teatr został wskrzeszony przez grupę ludzi skupionych wokół mima , a pierwszy spektakl wystawiono w 1997 roku. Repertuar składał się z kilku przedstawień pantomimicznych. Miał tam miejsce coroczny festiwal pantomimicznych. W 2003 roku znany słowacki aktor Juraj Kukura został dyrektorem zarządzającym i przekształcił teatr pantomimiczny na teatr dramatyczny. (pl)
