Aphanocalyx microphyllus subsp. compactus is a tropical rainforest tree in the family Fabaceae. This subspecies is endemic to the western Guinean lowland forests of Ivory Coast, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. The nominal subspecies occurs in the rainforests of central Africa.
