* Adam Smith Institute Fisher besuchte das Eton College und diente während des Zweiten Weltkriegs in der Royal Air Force. Mit Urkunde vom 11. Juni 1988 hatte Queen Elisabeth II. angekündigt, ihn zum Knight Bachelor erheben zu wollen. Sein Tod am 8. Juli 1988 kam der Investitur zuvor. Dennoch wurde seiner Witwe Dorian Dodge Fisher Anrede, Rang und Würde einer Gattin eines Knights Bachelor gewährt.
