- Anton Zorich (russisch Антон Владимирович Зорич, Transkription Anton Wladimirowitsch Soritsch; * um 1955–1960) ist ein russischer Mathematiker. Zorich wurde bei Sergei Petrowitsch Nowikow an der Lomonossow-Universität promoviert. Er ist Professor an der Universität Rennes I. Er war unter anderem Gastwissenschaftler am IHES und am Max-Planck-Institut für Mathematik in Bonn. Er studierte geschlossene Flächen mit flacher Metrik (was unabhängig vom Geschlecht der Fläche möglich ist, wenn man singuläre Punkte der Metrik zulässt), z. B. das Verhalten von Geodäten darauf mit Anwendungen auf bestimmte damit in Zusammenhang stehende eindimensionale dynamische Systeme (Interval Exchange Transformations). Eine Vermutung von Zorich und Kontsevich über Lyapunov-Exponenten des Teichmüllerflusses im Modulraum abelscher Differentiale auf kompakten Riemannschen Flächen wurde von Marcelo Viana und Artur Avila gelöst. 2006 war er Invited Speaker auf dem Internationalen Mathematikerkongress in Madrid (Thema: "Geodesics on flat surfaces"). Er ist nicht mit seinem Vater Vladimir A. Zorich (* 1937) zu verwechseln, Professor an der Lomonossow-Universität (Autor eines Analysis-Lehrbuchs und des Satzes von Zorich). (de)

He received his Ph.D. from Moscow State University under the supervision of Sergei Novikov. He was an invited speaker at the 2006 International Congress of Mathematicians in Madrid. The theme was: "Geodesics on flat surfaces". At least two of his papers concern the explanation of mathematical discoveries he made by experimenting with computers. (en)

É professor da Universidade de Rennes I. Foi dentre outros pesquisador visitante no Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques e no Instituto Max Planck de Matemática. Estudou superfícies fechadas com métrica plana. Uma hipótese de Zorich e Maxim Kontsevich sobre os expoentes de Lyapunov do fluxo de Teichmüller sobre o espaço módulo de diferenciais de Abel sobre superfícies de Riemann compactas foi provada por Artur Ávila e Marcelo Viana. Em 2006 foi palestrante convidado ("Invited Speaker") no Congresso Internacional de Matemáticos em Madrid (Tema: "Geodesics on flat surfaces"). Não o confundir com seu pai Vladimir A.
