Fou publicat el 12 de desembre de 2011, al mateix temps que The Pinkerton Diaries i com una seqüela d'Alone II: The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo. - Alone III: The Pinkerton Years is a compilation album by Weezer singer Rivers Cuomo, released on December 12, 2011. It comprises demos recorded between 1993 and 1996, when Cuomo was studying at Harvard University and writing material for the albums Pinkerton (1996) and the abandoned Songs from the Black Hole. It is the third in Cuomo's Alone series of demo compilations, following Alone (2007) and Alone II (2008). Alone III was sold exclusively with The Pinkerton Diaries, a book collecting journals, letters, essays and music notation written by Cuomo in the same period. (en)
- Alone III: The Pinkerton Years é o terceiro álbum de compilação do vocalista dos Weezer, Rivers Cuomo, lançado em 12 de Dezembro de 2011, sendo o terceiro álbum da trilogia Alone (após Alone: The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo e Alone II: The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo), lançando também simultaneamente o livro The Pinkerton Diaries. Este álbum é constituído por músicas gravadas entre 1993 e 1996, os quais considera como "os anos Pinkerton". Cuomo especulou inicialmente que Alone III: The Pinkerton Years seria lançado em Dezembro de 2010, apesar de tal não se ter concretizado. Este também referiu que o álbum seria lançado ao mesmo tempo que um livro intitulado The Pinkerton Years, contendo jornais, emails, cartas e artigos escritos por Cuomo. Cuomo também mostrou vontade em ter planos para alargar a trilogia com Alone IV, Alone V e Alone VI. (pt)
