- Albert Piette (* 18. April 1960 in Namur, Belgien) ist ein französischer Anthropologe und Professor an der Universität Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense in der Ethnologie-Abteilung. Er arbeitet über Fragen der Beobachtung der Aktion, besonders im Bereich der Religion und versucht vor allem, Details und alltäglichen Lauf der Situationen zu beschreiben und zu analysieren. In seinem Projekt einer existenzialen Anthropologie macht er den Moll-Charakter der Wirklichkeit zum wesentlichen Element, nicht nur um den anthropologischen Unterschied zu definieren, sondern auch um das Zusammenleben zu erklären. Seit ein paar Jahren überdenkt Piette, ausgehend von den Vorstellungen der Phänomenographie, Ontographie und Ontologie, die Anthropologie als spezifische Disziplin mit präzisen theoretischen, thematischen und methodologischen Ausrichtungen, die sich von der Soziologie und der Ethnologie unterscheidet. Seine anthropologische Welt mit interdisziplinärem Klang und vergleichenden Absichten ist bevölkert mit Menschen, Homo Sapiens, Neandertalern, Affen, Göttern und Gesellschaften, Glauben, Augenblicken und Entwicklung. Albert Piette nach besteht die existenziale Anthropologie daraus, den Menschen zu untersuchen, indem er „existiert“, er seine Existenz als seine eigene wahrnimmt, und er weiß, dass er sie verlieren wird. Sie berücksichtigt in diesem Sinne die Mikrokontinuität des Menschen, der die Augenblicke und die Situationen nach diversen Modalitäten von An- und Abwesenheit, von Passivität und Aktivität erlebt. Er will nicht die existenziale Anthropologie als sekundär betrachten. Er beurteilt sie als wesentlich für die Anthropologie, ihre Zukunft und ihre Befreiung gegenüber der Soziologie. In diesem Sinne von detaillierten Beobachtungen der Existenzen meint Albert Piette, dass die Ethnographie weniger günstig als die Phänomenographie ist, da die erste vor allem über Komplexen (Aktivitäten und Gruppen) arbeitet, wobei die letzte sich auf einzelnen Individuen konzentriert. Wie das Wort es verdeutlicht, untersucht die Phänomenographie einerseits was erscheint (Formen, Bewegungen, Haltungen), und andererseits versucht sie als empirischer Kontrapunkt der Phänomenologie die Geisteszustände und die Empfindungen in der Kontinuität der Augenblicke zu beschreiben. His research has focused on questions of observation, especially in the religious world. He describes and analyses details and ordinary forms in everyday life - what he named the minor mode of reality. For several years, the objective of Albert Piette has been to elaborate anthropology as a specific discipline, a science of the human being, different from sociology and ethnology, with precise theoretical and methodological orientations and themes. The aim is to let in the human being, as a specific entity, inside anthropology, which he considers focused on cultural sets or social systems and also on situations, actions, and relations. In contrast, the task of existential anthropology would thus be to observe, describe and analyze the micro continuity of the human being, living the moments and situations according to various modalities of presence-absence and passivity-activity. Albert Piette does not want to regard existential anthropology as secondary; on the contrary, he considers it as crucial for anthropology, its future and its detachment from social sciences. In this project, he continues to make of the minor mode an essential element to define the anthropological difference. With the aim of detailed observations of human beings, Albert Piette thinks that ethnography, working especially on activities and groups, is less appropriate than phenomenography, which focuses on singular individuals. As the word implies, phenomenography studies on the one hand what appears, movements, postures, gestures, and on the other hand, as an empirical counterpoint to phenomenology, it also attempts to describe states of mind and feelings in the continuity of moments. Developing this perspective, Albert Piette calls upon the notion of volume to clarify the focus of existential anthropology on the human being, which he calls a volume of being or a human volume. This notion, associated with that of volumography and volumology, allows him to insist on the unity of the human entity, its entirety, its unicity and also its stylistic continuity. (en)
- Albert Piette est né le 18 avril 1960 à Namur (Belgique). Il est anthropologue et professeur au département d'anthropologie de l'Université Paris Nanterre. Il a d'abord travaillé sur des questions d'observation de l'action, en particulier dans le domaine religieux. Il y tente surtout de décrire et d'analyser les détails et le cours ordinaire des situations - ce qu'il nomme le mode mineur de la réalité. Depuis quelques années, l'objectif d'Albert Piette est de penser l'anthropologie comme discipline spécifique, science des êtres humains, différente de la sociologie et de l'ethnologie, avec des orientations théoriques, thématiques et méthodologiques précises. Il s'agit, selon lui, de faire entrer l'être humain, comme entité spécifique, en anthropologie qu'il considère être trop focalisée non seulement sur les ensembles cultures ou sur des systèmes sociaux, mais aussi sur les situations, les actions et les relations, d'autre part. C'est la tâche qui serait celle de l'anthropologie existentiale: observer, décrire et analyser la microcontinuité de l'être humain vivant les instants et les situations selon diverses modalités de présence-absence et passivité-activité. Albert Piette ne veut pas considérer l'anthropologie existentiale comme secondaire, il la juge capitale pour l'anthropologie, son avenir et son désenclavement des sciences de la société. Dans ce projet, il continue à faire du mode mineur de la réalité un élément capital pour définir la différence anthropologique. À cette fin d'observations détaillées des êtres humains, Albert Piette considère que l'ethnographie travaillant surtout sur des ensembles (des activités et des groupes) est moins opportune que la phénoménographie se focalisant sur des individus singuliers. Comme le mot l'indique, la phénoménographie étudie d'une part ce qui apparaît, les formes, les mouvements, les postures, et d'autre part, comme contrepoint empirique de la phénoménologie, elle tente de décrire les états d'esprit et les ressentis dans la continuité des moments. Dans le développement de cette perspective, il sollicite la notion de volume pour préciser la focalisation de l'anthropologue existentiale sur l'être humain qu'il nomme volume d'être ou volume humain. Cette notion, associée à celles de volumographie et de volumologie, lui permet d'insister sur l'unité de l'entité humaine, son entièreté, son unicité et aussi sa continuité stylistique. (fr)
