- أحمد عبد الخالق من مواليد 1977، هو مدون وناشط حقوقي من الأقليات عديمي الجنسية. كان يُقيم سابقًا في عجمان في الإمارات العربية المتحدة. تمّ سجنه في الفترة ما بين نيسان/أبريل حتى تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2011 باعتبارها واحدٌ من الخمسة الذين «أهانوا» رئيس الإمارات العربية المتحدة خليفة بن زايد آل نهيان ونائب الرئيس محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم ثم ولي العهد محمد بن زايد آل نهيان. اعتبرته منظمة العفو الدولية سجين الرأي وطالبت بإطلاق سراحه فورًا. تمّ فك سراحه بموجب عفو رئاسي. تم اعتقاله للمرة الثانية على التوالي في أيار/مايو 2012 وخيّرته السلطات بين الاحتجاز إلى أجل غير مسمى أو المنفى. غادَر بحلول 16 تموز/يوليو من نفس العام دولة الإمارات إلى الأبد باتجاه تايلند. - Ahmed Abdul Khaleq (born c. 1977) is a blogger and activist of the stateless Bedoun minority who formerly resided in Ajman in the United Arab Emirates. From April to November 2011, he was imprisoned as one of the UAE Five on charges of insulting United Arab Emirates President Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Amnesty International designated him a prisoner of conscience, and he was released following a presidential pardon. In May 2012, he was rearrested and given a choice between indefinite detention or exile. On 16 July, he left the country for Thailand. (en)
