- Agamemnon Avgerinos (Greek: Αγαμέμνων Αυγερινός) was a Greek politician and leader of the Greek War of Independence of 1821. He was born in Pyrgos, the son of Georgios Avgerinos, a descendant of the Pyrgiotiki family. He studied for a doctorate in Italy and was elected a member in Pyrgos. He ministered as chief doctor during the revolution and was leader of weaponry with Andreas Londos and Theodoros Kolokotronis. During the revolution, he was a representative of Elis in the second and the third national assembly. He was foreign minister during the government of Zinovios Valvis in 1863. Between 1858 and 1859, he was Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament. He died in 1865. (en)
- Agamémnon G. Avgerinós (grec moderne : Αγαμέμνων Γ. Αυγερινός) né à Pyrgos en Élide est un homme politique grec qui participa à la guerre d'indépendance grecque. Fils du chef de guerre , il fut envoyé faire des études de médecine en Italie. Membre de la Filikí Etería, il utilisa ses compétences de médecin auprès des blessés de la guerre d'indépendance. Il fut alors un des proches d'Andréas Lóndos et Theódoros Kolokotrónis. Il fut élu d'Élide à l'Assemblée nationale d'Astros (1823) et participa à la troisième Assemblée nationale grecque. Après l'indépendance, il fut Président du Parlement hellénique en 1858-1859 et ministre des Affaires étrangères du gouvernement Zinovios Valvis (1863). Il s'éteignit deux ans plus tard. (fr)
