- Automotive Lighting (AL) is an automotive lighting company that is based in Germany. It was founded in 1999 as a 50-50 joint venture between the Italian firm Magneti Marelli and the German firm Robert Bosch GmbH (K2 Lighting division). In 2001, Magneti Marelli raised its share to 75% after the acquisition of Seima Group. In 2003, Automotive Lighting become fully owned by Magneti Marelli. Automotive Lighting was the first company to introduce rear LED lights in 2003 for the Peugeot 307 CC, and the first full-LED headlamp in mass production for the Audi R8 in 2008. (en)

- AL - Automotive Lighting a été créée en 1999 à la suite d'une coentreprise entre le groupe italien Magneti-Marelli - division Éclairage - et l'allemand Robert Bosch GmbH (K2 Lighting division). Ce fut l'opportunité de mettre en commun leurs technologies dans le domaine très spécifique de l'éclairage automobile. C'est à partir de 2001 que Magneti-Marelli augmenta son emprise dans la coentreprise en passant à 75 % du groupe pour en assumer l'entière propriété en 2003. La création de la division Magneti Marelli Lighting au sein du groupe Magneti Marelli remonte à 1988 avec le rachat de son compatriote Carello SpA, une des plus anciennes des sociétés d'éclairage automobile. - Automotive Lighting è un'azienda italo-tedesca attiva nel settore dell'illuminazione per autoveicoli, avente sede a Reutlingen (Germania), facente parte del gruppo Magneti Marelli, a sua volta di Calsonic Kansei. L'azienda venne creata con una joint venture paritetica, nel 1999 da Bosch Lighting e Magneti Marelli Divisione Illuminazione. Questa ultima comprendeva le due Business Units Marelli Fari-anteriori e Marelli Fanali-posteriori. Nel 2001, con l'acquisto della Seima SpA da parte della Magneti Marelli, e la relativa incorporazione nella Automotive Lighting, la divisione del capitale vede il gruppo italiano con 75% della J.V.. Nel 2003, la Bosch GmBH decise di ritirarsi da Automotive Lighting che è quindi rimasta di proprietà della sola Magneti Marelli e quindi del Gruppo Fiat fino al 2019, per poi seguire la sorte della Magneti Marelli, entrando nell'orbita giapponese di Calsonic Kansei.
