The 2021 FedEx Cup Playoffs began on August 19, and concluded on September 5, 2021. Because of rescheduling during the 2019–20 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, six major championships occurred during the timeframe of the 2020–21 season, with two editions of both the U.S. Open and Masters Tournament, as well as the 2020 Summer Olympics.
