- Οι 39ες γενικές εκλογές στη Νιου Μπράνσγουικ διεξήχθησαν στις 24 Σεπτεμβρίου 2018 για την εκλογή των 49 μελών της 59ης Νομοθετικής Συνέλευσης στην επαρχία Νιου Μπράνσγουικ του Καναδά. Ήταν οι πρώτες εκλογές στην επαρχία από το 1920 στις οποίες κανένα κόμμα δεν κέρδισε την αυτοδυναμία. Οι περισσότερες έδρες κερδήθηκαν από τους Προοδευτικούς Συντηρητικούς (22) ενώ ο κάτοχος της πρωθυπουργίας, ο Φιλελεύθερος επεδίωξε να σχηματίσει κυβέρνηση, αν και το κόμμα του κέρδισε μόνο 21 έδρες. Δύο μικρότερα κόμματα— η Λαϊκή Συμμαχία και το Κόμμα των Πρασίνων σημείωσαν κέρδη, με 3 έδρες το καθένα. Για πρώτη φορά εξέλεξε βουλευτή η Λαϊκή Συμμαχία και οι Πράσινοι ενισχύθηκαν κατά μία έδρα. Για πρώτη φορά από το 1991 τέσσερα κόμματα κέρδισαν εκπροσώπηση στο κοινοβούλιο. Την 1η Νοεμβρίου η κυβέρνηση μειοψηφίας του Γκαλάν παραιτήθηκε έπειτα από πρόταση δυσπιστίας. - The 2018 New Brunswick general election was held on September 24, 2018, to elect the 49 members of the 59th New Brunswick Legislature, the governing house of the province of New Brunswick, Canada. Two smaller parties — the People's Alliance and the Greens — made breakthroughs, winning three seats each, and potentially holding the balance of power. The People's Alliance entered the legislature for the first time, while the Greens increased their seat count from one. This marked the first time since the 1991 election that four parties won representation in the legislature. The election was also contested by the provincial New Democrats, newcomers KISS NB, and eight independents. This is the first election since 1920 that did not return a majority for any party. The Progressive Conservatives won the most seats, with 22, but incumbent Liberal Premier Brian Gallant, whose party secured only 21 seats despite winning the popular vote by six percentage points, indicated that he would seek the confidence of the legislature and attempt to form a minority government. On September 25, Gallant met with the Lieutenant Governor Jocelyne Roy-Vienneau and received permission to continue in office. On November 2, Gallant's minority government was defeated in a non-confidence vote. On November 9, Progressive Conservative leader Blaine Higgs was sworn in as premier with a minority government. - Les élections générales néo-brunswickoises de 2018 ont eu lieu le 24 septembre 2018 pour élire les 49 députés à l'Assemblée législative du Nouveau-Brunswick. Deux tiers partis, L'Alliance des gens et le Parti vert, ont fait des percées en faisant élire trois députés chacun, et en maintenant la balance du pouvoir. En effet, le scrutin a pour résultat un parlement minoritaire, pour la première fois depuis 1920 dans la province. Le Parti libéral du Nouveau-Brunswick du premier ministre sortant Brian Gallant réunit 37,8 % des suffrages mais n'obtient que 21 sièges, alors que le Parti progressiste-conservateur de Blaine Higgs, avec 31,9 % des voix, en obtient 22. Après plusieurs semaines de négociations, Blaine Higgs est élu Premier ministre avec le soutien de l'Alliance des gens. (fr)
