- The 2018 Asia Rugby Championship was the fourth annual rugby union series for the top-level Asia Rugby nations. The Asia Rugby Championship in 2018 formed part of the World Cup qualifying process and, as such, did not include Japan who had already qualified as the 2019 Rugby World Cup host. Hong Kong and South Korea were joined by Malaysia, promoted from Division 1, to compete in the 2018 series. Other Asian nations played in the lower division tournaments. The format of the tri-nations series is a double round-robin where the three teams play each other twice on a home and away basis. The team finishing on top of the standings at the end of the series is declared the winner. The 2018 series winner Hong Kong advanced to a cross-regional play-off series against Oceania 4, Cook Islands, to earn a berth in the repechage tournament. (en)

- El Asia Rugby Championship Top 3 de 2018, fue la 31.ª edición del principal torneo asiático y la 4ª del formato instituido en 2015. En esta oportunidad la selección de Japón no participó del torneo por estar clasificado a la cita mundialista en calidad de organizador. El campeonato es parte de la para la Copa del Mundo de Japón 2019. El ganador del torneo se enfrentará a Islas Cook, vicecampeón de la Oceania Rugby Cup 2017 en una llave a dos partidos para continuar en carrera al Mundial. El campeón de aquel torneo resultó ser Tahití pero fue sancionado por la World Rugby por colocar a 2 jugadores en campo que no cumplían con los criterios de elegibilidad. (es)

La sua divisione maggiore, il Top Three, si tenne tra il 28 aprile e il 2 giugno 2018 e funse da ultimo turno di qualificazioni asiatiche alla Coppa del Mondo 2019: già qualificato il Giappone come Paese organizzatore di tale edizione del mondiale, il torneo dovette esprimere una squadra ulteriore da contrapporre alla migliore tra le oceaniane non qualificate direttamente per l'accesso diretto o, in subordine, ai ripescaggi da disputarsi in Europa a fine 2018.Ad aggiudicarsi il titolo, per la prima volta nella sua storia, fu Hong Kong, appena la terza squadra a iscrivere il suo nome nel palmarès della competizione dopo Giappone e Corea del Sud, che andò ad affrontare le Isole Cook per un posto al torneo finale delle ripescate. Per quanto riguarda i tornei inferiori, la Divisione 1 si tenne a Manila (Filippine) tra la formazione di casa e Singapore che si affrontarono in gara doppia per via del ritiro di Sri Lanka e Emirati Arabi Uniti; furono i filippini ad aggiudicarsi il torneo; la Divisione 2 fu di casa a Pattaya (Thailandia), vinta da Taipei Cinese.La terza divisione Centro, che ebbe luogo ad Almaty (Kazakistan), vide la vittoria della squadra padrona di casa; quella Est fu di scena a Brunei e fu vinta da Guam mentre, infine, quella Ovest fu ospitata da Beirut (Libano) e vinta dalla squadra del Paese ospitante. - Asia Rugby Championship 2018 – czwarta edycja corocznego turnieju organizowanego pod auspicjami Asia Rugby dla trzech najlepszych azjatyckich męskich reprezentacji rugby union. Turniej został rozegrany od 28 kwietnia do 2 czerwca 2018 roku, a jego zwycięzcą została reprezentacja Hongkongu. Dla reprezentacji Hongkongu zwycięstwo w tych rozgrywkach oznaczało zdobycie pierwszego w historii tytułu mistrza Azji.
