- Běh na 110 metrů překážek mužů na Mistrovství světa v atletice 2011 se uskutečnil 28. a 29. srpna. Ve finálovém běhu zvítězil reprezentant Kuby Dayron Robles, který byl později diskvalifikován za blokování soupeře Číňana Liou Sianga. - The Men's 110 metres hurdles at the 2011 World Championships in Athletics was held at the Daegu Stadium on August 28 and 29. The final featured the three fastest 110 hurdlers in history. World Record Holder Dayron Robles took an early lead but was being passed by former record holder Liu Xiang. Between the last two hurdles, Robles' right arm backswing caught Liu's oncoming left arm. Liu hit the tenth hurdle, with a second arm collision with Robles, slowing Liu enough to finish in third. Robles crossed the finish line first, but after the race, the Chinese team protested and Robles was disqualified, giving the championship to second finisher Jason Richardson.Andy Turner was separated from David Oliver in a photo finish for the bronze medal, both receiving the same time. 5th place in the race was also so close the photo could not separate the two competitors. Weltmeister wurde überraschend der US-Amerikaner Jason Richardson.Den zweiten Platz belegte der chinesische Olympiasieger von 2004, Weltmeister von 2007, Vizeweltmeister von 2005 und WM-Dritte von 2003 Liu Xiang.Bronze ging an den amtierenden Europameister und EM-Dritten von 2006 Andrew Turner aus Großbritannien. Im Finale hatte der kubanische Weltrekordinhaber Dayron Robles als Erster das Ziel erreicht, wurde nachträglich jedoch disqualifiziert, weil er Liu Xiang zwei Mal behindert hatte. Der Chinese, dem neun Hundertstelsekunden zum Sieg gefehlt hatten, sagte hinterher dazu, dass die Behinderungen nicht absichtlich geschehen seien, er aber selbst den Titel gewonnen hätte, wenn es keine Behinderungen gegeben hätte. Der Ausgang des Kampfs um die Bronzemedaille war äußerst eng. Der viertplatzierte US-Amerikaner David Oliver verpasste das Edelmetall nur um acht Tausendstelsekunden. Nach Hundertstelsekunden waren Andrew Turner und David Oliver mit 13,44 s zeitgleich. Gemessen, aber nicht offiziell angegeben, wurden auch Tausendstelsekunden.
