- The 2008 U.S. Men's Clay Court Championships was a men's tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. It was the 40th edition of the U.S. Men's Clay Court Championships, and was part of the International Series of the 2008 ATP Tour. It took place at River Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas, United States, from April 14 through April 20, 2008. Seventh-seeded Marcel Granollers-Pujol won the singles title. The singles draw featured ATP No. 8, 2007 Davis Cup champion and Delray Beach finalist James Blake, Indian Wells quarterfinalist Tommy Haas, and Miami Masters runner-up Mardy Fish. Among other top players competing were Las Vegas winner Sam Querrey, Acapulco quarterfinalist Agustín Calleri, Dudi Sela, Marcel Granollers-Pujol and Óscar Hernández. (en)

In derselben Woche wurden in Valencia die Open de Tenis Comunidad Valenciana und in Estoril die Estoril Open gespielt, welche genau wie die US Men’s Clay Court Championships zur Kategorie der ATP International Series zählte. Titelverteidiger im Einzel war Ivo Karlović, der dieses Jahr nicht erneut antrat. Die Einzelkonkurrenz gewann der Spanier Marcel Granollers mit 6:4, 1:6, 7:5 gegen den US-Amerikaner James Blake und gewann damit seinen ersten Titel auf der ATP-Tour, nachdem er sowohl im Einzel als auch im Doppel seine ersten Finals erreichte. Im Doppel war das Brüderpaar Bob und Mike Bryan im vorherigen Jahr siegreich. Auch sie traten 2008 nicht mehr an. Im Finale gewann die Paarung Ernests Gulbis und Rainer Schüttler mit 7:5, 7:63 gegen Pablo Cuevas und Marcel Granollers. Das Teilnehmerfeld der Einzelkonkurrenz bestand aus 32 Spielern, jenes der Doppelkonkurrenz aus 16 Paaren.
