Eight Central Michigan players (Hempton, Acitelli, halfback Don Krueger, tackles Norb Miller and John Plec, offensive guard/defensive end Lyle Spalding, center Tom Stoops, and defensive guard Paul Verska) received first-team honors on the All-IIAC team.
