- El 30 de septiembre de 2008 Walt Disney Records publicó Nightmare Revisited, una colección de versiones y nuevas grabaciones inspiradas por la película de Tim Burton, dirigida por Henry Selick de 1993, The Nightmare Before Christmas. Danny Elfman regrabó «Opening» y «Closing» de la película, y Amy Lee, Korn, Plain White T's, Rise Against, Tiger Army y Flyleaf contribuyeron con sus versiones de las canciones de la banda sonora. - Nightmare Revisited is a cover album of songs and score from the 1993 Disney animated film The Nightmare Before Christmas. It was released on September 30, 2008 by Walt Disney Records to commemorate the film's 15th anniversary of its theatrical release. In addition to the album's eighteen covers are two re-recordings by original composer Danny Elfman, of the "Opening" and "Closing" tracks. One song featured on the album, Marilyn Manson's "This Is Halloween", was previously released nearly two years earlier, on the 2006 reissue of the film's original soundtrack which, featuring five covers of songs from the film, acted as a precursor to Nightmare Revisited. Enhanced content on the disc features the trailer of The Nightmare Before Christmas. American psychobilly band Tiger Army also provided a cover of "Oogie Boogie's Song", which was not featured on physical CD editions of Nightmare Revisited, but was released as a digital bonus track. Scott Murphy's cover of "Sally's Song" is also featured on Japanese pressings of the album. (en)

All'uscita dell'album l'unica canzone che è stata proposta live per la promozione dello stesso è stata Sally's Song riproposta da Amy Lee.Il 13 ottobre 2008 Amy Lee si è esibita con piano ed arpa live al The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Il 17 ottobre 2008 per la première del film Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D è stata nuovamente contattata Amy Lee per riproporre la sua cover durante la presentazione del film.Presente a questa esibizione c'era anche Danny Elfman, l'autore di tutte le musiche del film d'animazione, il quale ha fatto i complimenti ad Amy Lee dicendole che aveva centrato appieno il punto della canzone. Uma canção apresentada no álbum, “This is Halloween”, de Marilyn Manson, foi lançada cerca de dois anos antes, no “” que, contendo cinco covers de canções do filme, agiu como precursor ao “Nightmare Revisited”. O álbum também apresenta a última canção do Korn antes de entrarem em seu hiatus, a música “Kidnap the Sandy Claws”. Como conteúdo adicional ao disco há o trailer do filme “O Estranho Mundo de Jack”.
