| - Die HMS Bellerophon, unter Seeleuten als „Billy Ruffian“ bekannt, war ein Linienschiff der Royal Navy. Die Bellerophon wurde während der Französischen Revolution und der Napoleonischen Kriege eingesetzt. Sie nahm an drei Flottenaktionen teil: dem Glorreichen Ersten Juni (1794), der Seeschlacht bei Abukir und der Schlacht von Trafalgar. 1815 ging Napoleon an Bord der Bellerophon, um sich dem Schiffskapitän zu ergeben, und beendete damit einen 22 Jahre währenden Krieg zwischen Großbritannien und Frankreich. Fue construida en los astilleros de Edward Greaves con las especificaciones de la clase Arrogant y diseñada por Sir en 1758. La historia narra que el Primer Lord del Almirantazgo durante ese periodo, John Montagu, 4º conde de Sándwich, tenía un interés muy particular en la mitología griega y romana y tomó el nombre del Classical Dictionary de Lempière. - HMS Bellerophon, known to sailors as the "Billy Ruffian", was a ship of the line of the Royal Navy. A third-rate of 74 guns, she was launched in 1786. Bellerophon served during the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars, mostly on blockades or convoy escort duties. She fought in three fleet actions: the Glorious First of June (1794), the Battle of the Nile (1798) and the Battle of Trafalgar (1805). While the ship was on blockade duty in 1815, Napoleon boarded Bellerophon so he could surrender to the ship's captain, ending 22 years of almost continuous war between Britain and France. (en)

- HMS Bellerophon was een oorlogsschip van de Britse Royal Navy, dat in juli 1815 Napoleon als krijgsgevangene naar Engeland bracht. Het was een linieschip van de Arrogant-klasse, dat op 6 oktober 1786 van stapel was gelopen, en was genoemd naar de mythologische figuur Bellerophon. Het was bewapend met 74 kanonnen. De Bellerophon nam deel aan de Slag bij de Nijl en de Slag bij Trafalgar. Hoewel het geen goed zeilschip was, kreeg het van de bemanning toch een koosnaam: "The Billy Ruffian".

Lançada ao mar em 1786, serviu durante as Guerras revolucionárias francesas e as Guerras Napoleónicas, na sua maioria em bloqueios e serviço de escolta a comboios. Conhecido como "Billy Ruffian" pelos marinheiros, combateu em três batalhas - Glorioso primeiro de Junho, Batalha do Nilo e Batalha de Trafalgar -, e foi o navio a bordo do qual Napoleão Bonaparte se rendeu, pondo fim a uma guerra quase contínua de 22 anos com a França.
