He played college football at Tennessee Tech. As a player, Chamblin has also been a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Green Bay Packers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Denver Broncos, Rhein Fire and Indianapolis Colts. He was head coach of the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL from 2012 to part-way through 2015.
