Charlotte Alington Pye Barnard (23 December 1830 in Louth, Lincolnshire – 30 January 1869 in Dover) was an English poet and composer of ballads and hymns, who often wrote under the pseudonym Claribel. She wrote over 100 songs as well as two volumes of verse, and became the most commercially successful balled composer managed by her publishers Boosey's, with whom she established one of the first royalty arrangements. Charlotte Alington Barnard, coneguda amb el pseudònim de "Claribel", (Londres, 23 de desembre de 1830 - idm. 30 de gener de 1869), fou una compositora anglesa. Va compondre més de cent balades i cants populars que signà amb el pseudònim de Claribel, algunes de les quals com Come Bach to Erin i What you tell me why Robin? tenen l'encant i inspiració de les cançons populars. Va escriure la lletra de la majoria de les seves composicions i publicà un volum de Thougts Verses and Songs.
