- Enguerrand VI. z Coucy (francouzsky Enguerrand VI de Coucy; 1313 – 26. srpna 1346) byl pán z Coucy, Marle, la Fère, Oisy a Havrincourtu, účastník stoleté války na straně francouzského krále Filipa VI. Byl synem Viléma z Coucy a Isabely ze Châtillonu a jeho sňatek s Kateřinou, dcerou zesnulého rakouského vévody Leopolda byl dílem krále Filipa VI., který jej potřeboval v nadcházejícím válečném konfliktu s Anglií získat na svou stranu. Enguerrand byl vlastníkem strategicky položeného panství a za movitou nevěstu z významného rodu přislíbil svou účast na válečném poli, což se mu v létě roku 1346 stalo osudným. Zemřel v době bitvy u Kresčaku a není zcela jisté, zda přímo v této konkrétní bitvě. Byl pohřben v cisterciáckém klášteře nedaleko Noyonu. Jeho dědicem se stal jediný stejnojmenný nezletilý a regentem Jan z Coucy, pán z Havraincourtu, bratr zesnulého. (cs)

Er war ein Sohn von und dessen Ehefrau, Isabelle de Châtillon. Auf Veranlassung König Philipps VI. heiratete Enguerrand im November 1338 die deutsche Adlige Katharina von Österreich, eine Tochter des Herzogs Leopold I. von Österreich. Diese Ehe diente der Bündnispolitik des Königs von Frankreich, der für den im Jahr zuvor ausgebrochenen Konflikt mit England (Hundertjähriger Krieg) Verbündete unter den deutschen Fürsten suchte. Die Braut brachte eine sehr hohe, sowohl von ihrem Vater als auch vom französischen König gestellte Mitgift in die Ehe. 1339 belagerten die Engländer unter Sir John Chandos die Burg von Oisy, die aber von Enguerrands Burgverwalter erfolgreich verteidigt werden konnte. Er selbst verteidigte erfolgreich mit den königlichen Truppen Tournai. Im Jahr 1346 nahm er an einem Feldzug des Herzogs Johann von Normandie in die Guyenne teil und fiel wenig später im Kampf, vermutlich in den Scharmützeln vor oder in der Schlacht bei Crécy selbst. Bestattet wurde er in der Abtei Ourscamp. Aus seiner Ehe hinterließ er einen noch unmündigen Sohn, Enguerrand, für den dessen Mutter wie auch der königliche Ratsherr Jean de Nesle, Herr von Offemont, die Vormundschaft übernahmen. Katharina von Österreich heiratete 1348 in zweiter Ehe den Grafen Konrad II. von Hardegg, starb aber schon 1349 an der Pest. (de)
- Enguerrand VI (c. 1313–c. 1346) was a medieval French nobleman who served as the Seigneur Lord of Coucy. He was also Lord Gynes, Sire d'Oisy, in the district of Marle, and the Sire de La Fère. He was the son of his predecessor, Guillaume, Lord of Coucy, Marle, Fère, Oisy, and Mount-Mirel, who held the titles from 1321–1335; and his second wife, Isabeau de Châtillon-St-Pol, daughter of Guy IV, Count of Saint-Pol. He succeeded his father in the titles in 1335. In 1338, he married Catherine of Austria, the eldest daughter of Leopold I, Duke of Austria and Catherina of Savoy, and the granddaughter of the powerful Amadeus V, Count of Savoy. The marriage with the House of Habsburg and House of Savoy was arranged by King Philip VI himself, who was seeking foreign allies against England and to secure the loyalty of the barony of Coucy, strategically located in northern France and fortified with the massive Château de Coucy. Two pacts arranging the marriage and dowry were signed, the first in January 1337 in Paris and the second on 25 November 1338 in the Bois de Vincennes. The marriage produced only one son, Enguerrand VII, who succeeded his father. Enguerrand VI was reportedly killed at the Battle of Crécy on 25 August 1346, but his death is also recorded as occurring as early as 1344 or as late as September 1347. (en)
