- The 2019 Rugby Europe Sevens Grand Prix Series was the eighteenth edition of the continental championship for rugby sevens in Europe. The series took place over two legs, the first at Moscow in Russia and the second at Łódź in Poland. France won in Moscow but Germany won the Łódź tournament to take out the series championship title for the first time. Germany, Italy and Portugal, as the three highest-placed nations without core team status on the World Rugby Sevens Series, gained entry to the inaugural World Rugby Sevens Challenger Series for a chance to qualify to the World Sevens Series in 2020–21. The Moscow leg of the tournament also served as a pre-qualifier for the 2020 Summer Olympics. The nine highest-placed eligible European teams from that tournament advanced to the Olympic regional qualifier held in Colomiers, France. (en)

- Mistrzostwa Europy w Rugby 7 Mężczyzn 2019 – osiemnaste mistrzostwa Europy w rugby 7 mężczyzn, oficjalne międzynarodowe zawody rugby 7 o randze mistrzostw kontynentu organizowane przez Rugby Europe mające na celu wyłonienie najlepszej męskiej reprezentacji narodowej w tej dyscyplinie sportu w Europie. Zostały rozegrane w formie pięciu turniejów w trzech hierarchicznie ułożonych dywizjach w okresie od 8 czerwca do 22 lipca 2019 roku. W walce o tytuł mistrzowski brało udział dwanaście zespołów, pozostałe europejskie drużyny, które przystąpiły do rozgrywek, występowały w niższych dywizjach, pomiędzy wszystkimi czterema istniał system awansów i spadków. Zawody służyły również jako czwarty etap kwalifikacji do turnieju rugby 7 na Letnich Igrzyskach Olimpijskich 2020. Przedzielony europejskim turniejem kwalifikacyjnym do LIO 2020 sezon był nierówny w wykonaniu większości zespołów. Pierwszy w historii kontynentalnego czempionatu tytuł zdobyli Niemcy, którzy po czwartym miejscu w otwierających zawodach zwyciężyli w drugich. Srebrne medale otrzymali triumfatorzy pierwszego turnieju, Francuzi, brązowe zaś Irlandczycy. Miejsce w do otrzymała czołowa trójka sezonu, niebędąca stałymi uczestnikami światowego cyklu, relegowana została natomiast Rumunia. (pl)
