- Šestá řada amerického animovaného seriálu Simpsonovi je pokračování páté řady tohoto seriálu. Byla vysílána na americké televizní stanici Fox od 4. září 1994 do 21. května 1995. V Česku měl první díl z této řady premiéru 23. června 1995 na České televizi (při prvním českém vysílání měla řada jinou sestavu dílů). Řada má celkem 25 dílů. (cs)

Die deutschsprachige Erstausstrahlung sendete der Privatsender ProSieben vom 15. Juli bis zum 31. Dezember 1995, wobei die sechste Episode der Staffel, Furcht und Grauen ohne Ende, erst am 27. Dezember 1999 ausgestrahlt wurde. Die Staffel wurde am 16. August 2005 in den Vereinigten Staaten und am 3. November 2005 in Deutschland auf DVD veröffentlicht. (de)

En France, elle est diffusée du 18 février 1995 au 20 janvier 1996 sur Canal+, à l'exception des épisodes Burns fait son cinéma, Salut l'artiste et L'Amour à la Simpson, diffusés pour la première fois sur W9 respectivement les 19, 20 et 21 juin 2006. En Belgique, elle était diffusée sur Club RTL en 1995. En Suisse, elle était diffusée sur TSR. Le show runner de cette saison est David Mirkin. L'épisode Burns fait son cinéma est la cause de quelques tensions au sein de l'équipe de la série, si bien que son créateur Matt Groening décide de retirer son nom du générique, voyant cet épisode comme une publicité flagrante pour Profession : critique, une série diffusée à la même heure sur une autre chaîne. Après quatre saisons de diffusion les jeudis soirs, la Fox décide de reprogrammer Les Simpson le dimanche soir. Depuis la série est toujours diffusée à cette heure. La saison est proposée pour quatre Emmy Awards et l'épisode Le Mariage de Lisa remporte celui du meilleur programme d'animation de moins d'une heure. Elle remporte également l'Annie Award de la meilleure production animée pour la télévision. Le coffret DVD de la saison est sorti en région 1 le 16 août 2005, en région 2 le 17 octobre de la même année, le 28 septembre en région 4 et en région 5, le 9 septembre 2010. (fr)

- The sixth season of the American animated television series The Simpsons originally aired on the Fox network between September 4, 1994, and May 21, 1995, and consists of 25 episodes. The Simpsons is an animated series about a working class family, which consists of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. The show is set in the fictional city of Springfield, and lampoons American culture, society, television and many aspects of the human condition. Season 6 was the highest rated season of the series. The showrunner for the sixth production season was David Mirkin who executive-produced 23 episodes. Former showrunners Al Jean and Mike Reiss produced the remaining two; they produced the two episodes with the staff of The Critic, the show they left The Simpsons to create. This was done in order to relieve some of the stress The Simpsons' writing staff endured, as they felt that producing 25 episodes in one season was too much. The episode "A Star Is Burns" caused some controversy among the staff, with Matt Groening removing his name from the episode's credits, as he saw it as blatant advertising for The Critic, which Fox had picked up for a second season after being cancelled by ABC and with which Groening had no involvement. Fox moved The Simpsons back to its original Sunday night timeslot from season 1, having aired on Thursdays from season 2 through season 5. It has remained in this slot ever since. The sixth season won one Primetime Emmy Award (for the episode "Lisa's Wedding"), and received three additional nominations. It also won the Annie Award for Best Animated Television Production. The Complete Sixth Season DVD was released in the United States on August 16, 2005, September 28, 2005, in Australia, and October 17, 2005, in the United Kingdom. The set featured a plastic "clam-shell" Homer-head design and received many complaints. In the United States, the set contained a slip of paper informing purchasers how to request alternate packaging — which consisted of a case-sleeve in a similar style to the standard box design — for only a shipping and handling fee. La stagione contiene due episodi della serie di produzione 1F, relativa alla precedente stagione. In Italia diciassette episodi sono stati trasmessi per la prima volta dal 27 ottobre del 1995 al 13 aprile del 1996 e due dal 7 al 14 luglio su Canale 5, mentre su Italia 1 sono andati in onda due episodi L'8 e il 14 gennaio del 1998 e tre dal 30 aprile al 4 maggio del 1999; l'episodio La rivale di Lisa è invece andato in onda l'8 aprile 1995 su Canale 5. Episoden A Star Is Burns orsakade så stora bråk inom produktionen att Matt Groening tog bort namnet från texterna då han såg att avsnittet var reklam för The Critic. Till den här säsongen flyttades Simpsons tillbaka till sin ursprungliga tid, på från torsdagar till söndagar. Därefter har söndagar varit den fasta sändningsdagen. Sjätte säsongen vann en Emmy Award, och fick tre andra nomineringar. Lisa's Wedding vann en Emmy Award för "Outstanding Animated Program (for Programming One Hour or Less)". Alf Clausen blev nominerad i "Outstanding Individual Achievement in Music Composition for a Series (Dramatic Underscore)" för Treehouse of Horror V, och han och John Swartzwelder var nominerad för "Outstanding Individual Achievement in Music and Lyrics" för låten, "We Do" i, Homer the Great.
