- هرم الحية المجنحة أو معبد الثعبان المجنح (بالإنجليزية: Temple of the Feathered Serpent) هو التسمية الحديثة للهرم الثالث الموجود في مدينة تيوتيهواكان القديمة بالمكسيك؛ كما يرمز بالتعبير «تيوتيهواكانو» Teotihuacano إلى الحضارة والثقافة القديمتين لهذه المنطقة. وقد تم العثور على هذا المعبد أو الهرم في الثمانينيات من القرن الماضي حيث اهتم الباحثون بالبحث عن أضحيات من البشر كانوا مدفونين تحت هذا البناء. وقد تم تأريخ زمن دفن الضحايا بأنه يتنفق مع تاريخ نشأة المنشآت في هذا المكان، وهو بين الأعوام 150 - 200 بعد الميلاد. واتخذت التسمية من تمثيل للحية المجنحة المشهورة في أمريكا الوسطى، والتي كانت معبودة لدى القدماء حيث وجدت منحوتة على جوانب الهرم. وتلك المنحوتات هي من أقدم التماثيل للحية المجنحة؛ وتعرف كذلك فيما بعد بمعبود الأزتك الذين عاشوا في هذه المنطقة بعد ذلك، وهو المعبود المسمى «كويزالكوت». كما يسمى هذا الهرم «معبد كيزالكوت» Temple of Quetzalcoatl وكذلككمعبد الحية المجنحة. - La pirámide de la Serpiente Emplumada o Quetzalcóatl es el tercer edificio de mayor envergadura de Teotihuacán, una antigua ciudad mesoamericana cuyas ruinas se encuentran en México. El edificio consta de siete cuerpos de talud-tablero y fue decorado con esculturas que representan a la Serpiente Emplumada, una de las deidades más antiguas e importantes de los pueblos mesoamericanos. El edificio fue descubierto en 1918 durante las excavaciones realizadas por Manuel Gamio. Estaba cubierto por la plataforma adosada, que casi siempre durante la fase Metepec (700 y 750 d. C.). Las esculturas que cubrían los lados visibles del templo fueron destruidas intencionalmente, mientras que la fachada fue cubierta con una nueva estructura que permitió su conservación. This structure is notable partly due to the discovery in the 1980s of more than a hundred possibly sacrificial victims found buried beneath the structure. The burials, like the structure, are dated to between 150 and 200 CE. The pyramid takes its name from representations of the Mesoamerican "feathered serpent" deity which covered its sides. These are some of the earliest-known representations of the feathered serpent, often identified with the much-later Aztec god Quetzalcoatl.
