- Super Furry Animals (literalment en anglès «animals súper peluts») és un grup de rock gal·lés originat a Cardiff a principis dels 90 i encara en actiu: els Super Furry (sovint ressenyat de forma abreujada com a SFA) utilitzen principalment l'anglés en les seues cançons, encara que també fan ús de la seua llengua materna, el gal·lés. El nom del grup deriva d'unes camisetes dissenyades per la germana de (cap visible del conjunt) amb la llegenda en qüestió estampada sobre el teixit i, encara que el grup acostuma a fer ús del llenguatge amb doble sentit, el seu nom no pareix tindre cap altre significat explícit o implícit més que l'evident. L'actor (Twin Town, Notting Hill) va ser cantant dels SFA durant els començaments, abans que el grup obtinguera ressò estatal; això a banda, la formació sempre ha sigut la mateixa. (ca)

Super Furry Animals has recorded nine UK Albums Chart Top 25 studio albums (one BPI certified Gold and four certified Silver), plus numerous singles, EPs, compilations and collaborations. The band were known as central to the Cool Cymru era during which they were dominant, and are the act with the most top 75 hits without reaching the UK Singles Chart Top 10. Over the course of nine albums, Super Furry Animals has been described as "one of the most imaginative bands of our time" by Billboard, while according to a 2005 article in NME, "There's a case to be argued that [Super Furry Animals] were the most important band of the past 15 years".
