It sold poorly as a result of competition with Half-Life, but grew to have a cult following. Nightdive Studios acquired the rights to SiN in 2020, and in March 2020 republished the game, along with the Wages of Sin expansion pack, as SiN: Gold. In September 2020, the studio announced plans to release a remastered version, titled SiN: Reloaded, originally for a 2021 release but currently delayed to an unknown time. (en)
