- La Real Audiencia de Concepción o bien Audiencia y Cancillería Real de Concepción fue el más alto tribunal de la Corona española en la gobernación de Chile. Fue creada por real cédula en 1565 e instalada en la ciudad de Concepción en 1567, subordinada a la de Lima, hasta que fue disuelta definitivamente en 1575. (es)
- Before 1565, the highest court of Chile was the justicia mayor, whose sentences were appealed before the Royal Audiencia of Lima. In 1560 local authorities formally requested the president of the Audiencia of Lima for the creation of an audiencia for Chile. It was argued that it would serve to control the actions of the governors of Chile, improve royal treasury's collection of revenue and hasten the end of the Arauco War. In 1565 King Phillip II ordered the creation of a Chilean audiencia in his decree of May 18. The audiencia had four oidores, one of them serving as president; a fiscal or public prosecutor; and the related subordinate officials, such as an alguacil mayor (greater bailiff) and his lieutenants, notaries public, an interpreter, a chaplain and a doorman. In cases when the office of the governor of Chile went vacant, the oidores of the Audiencia were to assume administration of the government. Due to various problems in its operation, the Audiencia was dissolved less than a decade later by the royal decree of August 26, 1573, which took effect on June 25, 1575, a month after it received notification of the decree. After it was dissolved the judicial functions of the Audiencia were entrusted to the lieutenant governor and capitán general of Chile. (en)
- Королевская аудиенсия Консепсьона (исп. Real Audiencia de Concepción) — суд апелляционной инстанции и административная структура в королевстве Чили. После создания Королевства Чили в судебных вопросах оно было подчинено Королевской аудиенсии Лимы. В 1560 году местные власти официально потребовали создания отдельной аудиенсии для Чили, мотивируя это необходимостью усиления контроля за деятельностью губернаторов Чили, улучшения сбора королевских налогов и ускорения окончания Арауканской войны. 8 мая 1565 года король Филипп II издал указ, в соответствии с которым была образована королевская аудиенсия для Чили, разместившаяся в Консепсьоне. В состав аудиенсии входило четверо судей (один из которых являлся председателем аудиенсии), прокурор, и их подчинённые, а также переводчик, священник и швейцар. В случаях, когда должность губернатора оказывалась вакантной, аудиенсия исполняла функции временного правительства колонии. Из-за проблем с функционированием аудиенсия просуществовала меньше десяти лет, и была распущена королевским указом от 26 августа 1573 года, который вступил в силу 25 июня 1575 года. (ru)
