- Paksat-1, (Other former designation as Palapa-C1, HGS-3 and Anatolia-1), was a geosynchronous and communications satellite built and owned by the Boeing Company, leased to the Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) and renamed Paksat-1. It was successfully put on orbit on 1 February 1996 as Palapa-C1 for Indonesia as its original customer. But, after the technical problems, the satellite was leased to SUPARCO at an orbital location of 38° East longitude in December 2002. Paksat-1 offers the C-band and Ku-band coverage in over 75 countries across Europe, Africa, Middle East, South and Central Asia. Its customers included government organizations, television broadcasters, telecommunications companies, data and broadband internet service providers. (en)
- Satelit Palapa C1 adalah satelit komunikasi pertama dalam generasi Palapa C yang dimiliki dan dioperasikan oleh PT Satelit Palapa Indonesia (Satelindo). Palapa C1 diproduksi oleh Hughes (Amerika Serikat, AS) dan diluncurkan pada tanggal 31 Januari 1996 di Kennedy Space Center, Tanjung Canaveral (LC-36B) AS, menggunakan roket Atlas 2AS. Satelit ini dimaksudkan sebagai pengganti satelit Palapa B4 pada Orbit Geo Stasioner slot 113º BT dengan rentang operasi selama 7 tahun. Namun setelah terjadi kegagalan pengisian battery pada tanggal 24 November 1998 akhirnya Palapa C1 dinyatakan tidak layak beroperasi dan digantikan oleh Palapa C2. Satelit ini diambil alih pada tahun 1999 oleh afiliasi dari Satelindo dan berganti nama HGS-3 kemudian pada tahun 2000 berganti nama Anatolia-1 dan pada tahun 2002 berganti nama Paksat-1. (in)
