- Rakouský státní archiv (německy Österreichisches Staatsarchiv, ve zkratce ÖStA) je centrální archiv Rakouské republiky se sídlem ve Vídni. Za počátek archivu se někdy považuje rok 1749, kdy Marie Terezie zřídila první státní archiv, nicméně až do konce 19. století existovala řada samostatných centrálních archivů v habsburské monarchii, poté dochází k výraznějšímu slučování. Prakticky současnou podobu dostal archiv po roce 1945, od roku 2000 ho upravuje spolkový archivní zákon (BGBl 162/1999) a archiv spadá pod úřad spolkového kancléře. (cs)
- Das Österreichische Staatsarchiv (ÖStA) in Wien ist das zentrale Archiv der Republik Österreich. Es verwahrt auf Grundlage des Bundesarchivgesetzes das Archivgut des Bundes. Die Aufgaben des Österreichischen Staatsarchivs sind darin wie folgt beschrieben: Erfassen, Übernehmen, Verwahren, Erhalten, Instandsetzen, Ordnen, Erschließen, Verwerten und Nutzbarmachen von Archivgut des Bundes für die Erforschung der Geschichte und Gegenwart, für sonstige Forschung und Wissenschaft, für die Gesetzgebung, Rechtsprechung, Verwaltung sowie für berechtigte Belange der Bürger. Für Archivbestände können Sperrfristen von bis zu 110 Jahren gelten. Soweit es sich bei den Archivalien um Denkmale handelt, ist gemäß Denkmalschutzgesetz das Österreichische Staatsarchiv an Stelle des Bundesdenkmalamtes auch für den Denkmalschutz zuständig. (de)

On the basis of the Austrian Federal Archives Act, it stores the archives of the federal government. The tasks of the Archives are described as follows: recording, taking over, storing, preserving, repairing, organizing, developing, utilizing and making usable federal archive material for research into history and the present, for other research and science, for legislation, jurisdiction, for administration, and the legitimate concerns of citizens. - Les Archives d'État autrichiennes (en allemand : Österreichische Staatsarchiv) sont l'institution assurant la gestion des documents produits par l'administration centrale de l'Autriche. Elles abritent de très importants fonds liés au passé impérial de l'Autriche, les archives héritées de l'empire des Habsbourg (1526–1918) et celles du Saint-Empire romain germanique (jusqu'en 1806). Au total, l'institution, basée dans la capitale du pays, Vienne, conserve plus de 177 000 mètres linéaires d'archives. Bien que ces archives nationales n'aient été fondées qu'en 1945, elles reposent sur un substrat bien plus ancien. Les Archives de famille, de cour et d’État, qui forment aujourd'hui l'un des départements de l'institution ont été fondées en 1749. À l'époque de l'Empire austro-hongrois, puis à la fondation de la Première République, des tentatives ont été effectuées pour rassembler les archives des diverses administrations, mais sans succès. Cette centralisation a été pour la première fois effective durant l'Anschluss. En 1940 a été fondé le Reichsarchiv Wien. Puis après-guerre, les Archives d'État autrichiennes ont pris la suite. (fr)
