- مذكرات مستر همفر (جاسوس بريطاني غير معروف) أو اعترافات جاسوس بريطاني هي وثائقية ثُنسب إلى جاسوس بريطاني يدعي هِمْفِر (بالإنجليزية: Hempher) في القرن الثامن عشر، تشير إلى أن له دور في إيجاد وتكوين حركة إسلامية محافظة سميت بالوهابية، وذلك كجزء من المؤامرة لتخريب العالم الإسلامي. بالرغم من أن الشخصية التي نٌسبت لها المذكرات لا دليل على وجودها أصلا، وهذا ما دعى عددا من الباحثين إلى القول بأن هذه المذكرات كتبها بعض خصوم محمد بن عبد الوهاب ظهرت أول نسخة لهذه المذكرات في عام 1888 باللغة التركية في خمسة أجزاء، ويعتقد بعض الباحثين أن مؤلفها الحقيقي هو أيوب صبري باشا. وُصفت هذه المذكرات بـ«الملفقة» و «المزورة» و «عديمة القيمة»، وتُرجمت المذكرات للعديد من اللغات، كما أنها متاحة على الإنترنت، ولا تزال تحظي ببعض القيمة خاصة في الشرق الأوسط. واعتبرتها القوات العراقية بأنها من الوثائق الغاية في السرية عام 2002. - Memoirs of Mr. Hempher, The British Spy to the Middle East or Confessions of a British Spy is a document purporting to be the account by an 18th-century British agent, Hempher, of his instrumental role in founding the conservative Islamic reform movement of Wahhabism, as part of a conspiracy to corrupt Islam. It first appeared in 1888, in Turkish, in the five-volume Mir'at al-Haramayn of Ayyub Sabri Pasha (who is thought to be the actual author by at least one scholar). It has been described as "apocryphal", a "forgery", "utter nonsense", and "an Anglophobic variation on The Protocols of the Elders of Zion". It has been widely translated and disseminated, is available on the internet, and still enjoys some currency among some individuals in the Middle East and beyond. In 2002, an Iraqi military officer recapitulated the book in a "top secret document". (en)
