- يشكل الفتحة السفلية للصدر؛ من الخلف: الفقرة الصدرية الثانية عشرة، وعلى الجانبين: الضلعان الحادي عشر والثاني عشر، ومن الأمام: غضاريف الضلوع العاشرة والتاسعة والثامنة والسابعة والتي تصعد على أي من الجانبين لتشكل زاوية تحت القص أو الزاوية تحت الضلعية، ومن ثم تصل إلى قمة الناتئ الرهابي. تزداد هذه الزاوية عند النساء الحوامل لتصل 68-103. - The lower opening of the thorax is formed by the twelfth thoracic vertebra behind, by the eleventh and twelfth ribs at the sides, and in front by the cartilages of the tenth, ninth, eighth, and seventh ribs, which ascend on either side and form an angle, the infrasternal angle or subcostal angle, into the apex of which the xiphoid process projects. Pregnancy causes the angle to increase from 68° to 103°. (en)
- La apertura torácica inferior está formada por la duodécima vértebra torácica detrás, por las undécimas y duodécimas costillas en los lados, y delante por los décimo, noveno, octavo, y séptimas cartílagos costales, los cuales ascienden en cualquier lado y formar un ángulo, el ángulo infraesternal, ángulo subcostal o ángulo xifoideo, alrededor del vértice del cuerpo del esternón desde donde se proyecta el proceso xifoides.
