- Ein Ervad ist im parsischen Zoroastrismus eine Person, welche die erste Stufe der priesterlichen Weihen empfangen hat, wozu das Absolvieren des -Reinigungsrituals gehört. Zur Ausbildung gehört das Auswendiglernen der in den Ritualen verwendeten avestischen Texte. Voraussetzung ist körperliche Unversehrtheit. Die Kandidaten sind im heutigen Indien zwischen 9 und 13 Jahre alt. Dort werden zudem fast alle Kandidaten in einem von zwei Internaten in Mumbai ausgebildet, wobei sie vormittags eine normale Schule besuchen. Die Weihe berechtigt nicht zur Durchführung der Yasna-Liturgie, denn Voraussetzung dafür ist eine weitere Weihung zum Mobed. (de)
- Hērbad (also hīrbad, hērbed or ērvad) is a title given to Zoroastrian priests of minor orders. In the present day, hērbad is the lowest rank in the Zoroastrian priesthood, and is granted following the basic navar ceremony that marks the beginning of theological training. Unlike a mobed or dastūr, a hērbad may not celebrate the yasna, the main service. He may however assist. A hērbad may also not officiate at a recitation of the Vendidad, which is reserved for priests of higher grade. Amongst lay Zoroastrians, the three terms are used interchangeably. Unlike mobed but like dastūr, hērbad may be adopted as a professional title in a person's name. (en)

- Хирбад — низший священнический чин в зороастризме, частично инициированный мобед задэ, который окончил курс обучения, успешно сдал экзамены и принял участие в первой службе Ясны. Хирбад поступает в помощники мобеду на срок от 5 до 10 лет. Этот срок является стажировкой, которую проходят все будущие мобеды. Хирбад подчиняется всем решениям дастуров и мобедов беспрекословно, однако в случае сомнения в правильности их решений хирбад обязан обратиться в сообщество мобедов или дастуров. Традиционно хирбады являются связующим звеном между бехдинами и мобедами. Хирбад имеет ограниченные духовную силу и полномочия. Хирбад имеет право совершать:
* сэдрэ пуши,
* гавахгиран,
* порсех,
* ритуалы очищения,
* преподавать основы зороастрийской веры для единоверцев и тех, кто готовится принять зороастризм.
