- Der Gurans Himal ist ein vergletschertes Teilgebirge des Himalaya im äußersten Westen von Nepal. Randbereiche der Gebirgsgruppe liegen in Tibet (VR China) und in Uttarakhand (Indien). Der Gurans Himal befindet sich in der Provinz Sudurpashchim. Im Westen wird die Gebirgsgruppe vom Mahakali begrenzt. Das Flusstal des Humla Karnali bildet die nördliche und östliche Abgrenzung. Der im äußersten Nordwesten gelegene 5334 m hohe Lipulekh-Pass stellt den Übergang zum weiter westlich gelegenen dar. Die Gebirgsgruppe wird vom Seti, einem rechten Nebenfluss des Karnali, der im Guran Himal entspringt, in einen westlichen (Yoka Pahar Subsection) und einen östlichen Teil (Saipal Himal Subsection) gegliedert. Die höchste Erhebung im östlichen Teil bildet der Saipal (7031 m). Im westlichen Teil liegt der höchste Berg des Gurans Himal, der 7132 m hohe Api. Viele Berge und Gipfel des Gurans Himal liegen zwischen 6000 m und 7000 m Höhe. Bekanntere Berge sind Jethi Bahurani 6850 m, Bobaye 6808 m und Nampa 6755 m. Das erstreckt sich über den südwestlichen Bereich der Gebirgsgruppe. (de)
- The Gurans Himal is a small subrange of the Himalayas in far western Nepal. It is little-known, since it does not contain any 8000 metre peaks, or even any peaks above 7,200 metres. Its highest peak is Api, 7,132 m (23,399 ft), which, despite its relatively low height compared to the major Himalayan peaks, rises dramatically from a low base, as do the other significant peaks of the Gurans Himal. Carter's classification of the Himalayas divides the Gurans Himal into two subsections. The Saipal Subsection lies east of the Seti River, and its highest peak is Saipal, 7,031 m (23,068 ft). The Yoka Pahar Subsection lies west of the Seti, and contains Api, 7,132 m (23,399 ft); , 6,850 m (22,474 ft); Bobaye, 6,808 m (22,336 ft); and Nampa, 6,755 m (22,162 ft), among other peaks. (en)
