- Der 11. Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (Abk. UMK22) fand am 26. Februar 2022 im Logomo in der Stadt Turku statt und war der finnische Vorentscheid für den Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin (Italien). Am Ende gewann die Band The Rasmus mit ihrem Lied Jezebel den Wettbewerb und werden damit Finnland in Turin vertreten. (de)
- Finland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy, with the song "Jezebel" written by Lauri Ylönen and Desmond Child, and performed by the Rasmus. The Finnish broadcaster Yleisradio (Yle) organised the national final Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2022 in order to select the Finnish entry for the contest. Seven entries were selected to compete in the national final on 26 February 2022, where the combination of votes from seven international jury groups and votes from the public selected the winner. Finland was drawn to compete in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 12 May 2022. Performing during the show in position 1, "Jezebel" was announced among the top 10 entries of the second semi-final and hence qualified to compete in the final. In the final, Finland placed 21st with 38 points. It was later revealed that the country placed 7th in the semi-final with 162 points. (en)

La Yleisradio, radiodifusora encargada de la participación finlandesa en el festival, decidió organizar el tradicional «». El festival celebrado en una sola gala el 26 de febrero de 2022 dio como ganadores al famoso grupo The Rasmus con la canción rock «Jezebel», compuesta por Lauri Ylönen y Desmond Child. A pesar de la popularidad de The Rasmus, el grupo pasó completamente desapercibida en las casas de apuestas. En el festival, Finlandia se presentó en la segunda semifinal, logrando clasificarse a la gran final tras situarse en el 7° lugar con 162 puntos. Dos días, Finlandia se ubicaría en la final en la 21ª posición con solo 38 puntos: 12 del jurado profesional y 26 del televoto. (es)
