Convergence Festival, an annual sustainable living festival held in Ireland, was founded in 2000 and organised by the Sustainable Ireland Cooperative Society. Running until 2018/2019, the festival featured a number of events relating to sustainable development. The first Convergence Festival took place in Dublin's Temple Bar. The 2005 schedule included dance and wellness events. According to the organisers: "for more than a decade this unique programme of events has celebrated community resilience and social inclusion whilst championing the changes needed to create a sustainable economy, society and built environment". In 2015 and 2017, Convergence Festival events took place in Galway. The 2019 schedule included a "road show" of meetings "across Ireland".
