- The Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin (Russian: Успенский кафедральный собор, Uspenskij kafedral'nyj sobor) or more properly the Cathedral of the Dormition of the Mother of God is the Russian Orthodox cathedral of the diocese of Tashkent in Uzbekistan since 1945. The cathedral was built in 1871 and enlarged in the 1990s, the bell tower was rebuilt in 2010. The present building was built in 1871 and was dedicated to St. Panteleimon. An old church cemetery was replaced in the service of the Military Hospital of Tashkent. Like most parishes in Central Asia, the church was assigned in 1922 to the Living Church movement, which was promoted by the Bolsheviks. It was closed for worship in 1933 and in 1945 became a military depot. The church was restored and reopened for worship in December 1945. It was then devoted to Dormition, and became the seat of the Bishop of Tashkent. The bell tower was rebuilt in the 1990s, next to the main dome. The interior was redecorated with more pomp, especially for the visit on 10 November 1996 by Patriarch Alexis II. The cathedral was remodeled and a new bell tower built in the spring of 2010. (en)
- La Catedral de la Asunción de la Virgen (en ruso: Успенский кафедральный собор) o bien Catedral de la Dormición (un término más o menos equivalente), es la catedral ortodoxa rusa de la diócesis de Tashkent en Uzbekistán desde 1945. La catedral fue construida en 1871 y ampliada en la década de 1990; la campana de la torre fue reconstruida en el 2010. El edificio actual fue construido en 1871 bajo el patrocinio de San Pantaleón y se reemplazó un antiguo cementerio de la iglesia al servicio del Hospital Militar de Tashkent. Como la mayoría de las parroquias en Asia Central, la iglesia fue asignada en 1922 al movimiento del renovacionismo, que estaba promovido por los bolcheviques. Fue cerrado al culto en 1933 y en 1945 se transformó en un depósito militar. - Sobór Zaśnięcia Matki Bożej – prawosławny sobór w Taszkencie, od 1945 katedra eparchii taszkenckiej. Cerkiew powstała w latach 60. XIX wieku przy rosyjskim szpitalu i cmentarzu wojskowym w Taszkencie. Została poświęcona 30 września 1871, zaś jej pierwszym patronem był święty Pantelejmon. Z powodu wzrostu liczby wiernych uczęszczających do erygowanej przy świątyni parafii konieczna była rozbudowa obiektu. Środki na powiększenie świątyni pochodziły z kwesty; 3000 rubli na ten cel przekazał generał-gubernator Kaufman, zaś budowę dzwonnicy w sąsiedztwie cerkwi w całości sfinansował kupiec Dmitrij Zacho. Poświęcenie świątyni po przebudowie miało miejsce 31 stycznia 1879. Od 1917 do 1933 świątynia była w rękach zwolenników niekanonicznej Żywej Cerkwi. Następnie została zamieniona na jeden z magazynów sanitarnych Okręgu Wojskowego Azji Środkowej. Prawosławni odzyskali obiekt dopiero w 1945. W tym samym roku został on ponownie poświęcony, otrzymując nowe wezwanie Zaśnięcia Matki Bożej oraz przybierając funkcję soboru katedralnego eparchii taszkenckiej i Azji Środkowej. W latach 1958–1960, z inicjatywy biskupa taszkenckiego Hermogena (Gołubiewa), obiekt został całkowicie przebudowany i 4 września 1958 rekonsekrowany. Po kolejnym gruntownym remoncie sobór został poświęcony 1 października 2017 r. przez patriarchę moskiewskiego i całej Rusi Cyryla. (pl)
